Adding a new addition to your family is a monumental experience in every woman's life.  It doesn't matter if it is the first child or the tenth. Every birth is different.

The word doula means bond servant in Greek and has come to mean a person who comes along side a laboring mother to help her and wait on her as she journeys through the process of giving birth.

Having a doula has been shown to shorten labors, have better birth experiences, better bonding with the new born baby, less post partum depression, dad feels more included in the process and mom experiences fewer medical interventions.

A doula educates you on your choices, helps you make and is your voice for a birth plan, accompanies you through the labor journey and meets with you after the birth to review the whole experience with you.
